We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented content acquisitions editor to drive the identification, outreach, and acquisition of surgical video content. This individual will play a key role in curating the journal’s editorial pipeline, building relationships with surgeons and institutions, and ensuring a consistent flow of high-quality, relevant submissions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Content Acquisition Strategy:
      • Collaborate with the Editorial Board to develop and implement an editorial strategy.
      • Identify gaps and opportunities in the journal’s existing content catalog.
      • Understand the impact of published content on education and clinical outcomes and adjust strategy accordingly
    • Contributor Outreach & Relationship Management:
      • Proactively engage surgeons, institutions, and societies to solicit submissions.
      • Maintain relationships with current and prospective contributors to encourage recurring content.
    • Editorial Collaboration:
      • Support the editorial team in content production as needed.
      • Support peer-review coordination.
    • Market Research & Trend Analysis:
      • Monitor trends in surgical innovation, clinical practice, and educational needs.
      • Identify leading experts and emerging voices to feature in the journal.
    • Content Quality & Compliance:
      • Ensure all incoming content adheres to journal guidelines, ethical standards, and patient consent protocols.
      • Work with contributors to improve submission quality where needed.
